Climbing is complicated…
Climbing injuries are unique and climbing movement is impossible to understand if you’re not a climber.
Practitioners who are not climbers don’t understand how to safely get you climbing again (often delaying your return to climbing by months). They also underestimate how hard climbing is on your body and they usually don’t help you get to a high enough level to get you back to your goals.
We get you. Stop trying to explain what a gaston is to your current PT and work with someone who shares your psych.

We knew you’d ask that!
Believe me, we feel you on this one. Not climbing sucks. But reinjury sucks more.
The majority of climbers are able to continue climbing at a modified capacity. More serious injuries or acute injuries will require relative rest from climbing. Our goal is to get you back to climbing as quickly and as safely as possible. We will provide you with the expertise and resources to tell you exactly how much you should be climbing to optimize your recovery. Check out Evan’s return-to-climbing guide.

The Climbing Project is a cash-pay service. We do not bill insurance and appointments are not HSA/FSA eligible.
-
Naw. No need to spend time trying to explain what a gaston is to your doctor.
Skip that shit! We’ve gotta get you back climbing asap!

Services provided through The Climbing Project are considered health and performance coaching, not physical therapy or medical care.
Although all of our coaches are licensed physical therapists, these services do not include medical evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, or telehealth physical therapy services.
Our coaching may include movement assessment, strength and mobility testing, exercise programming, and discussions about pain or performance as they relate to your return-to-climbing programming. The focus is on education, training, and return-to-climbing guidance within a coaching relationship.

We treat climbers and athletes of ALL ability and experience levels. Whether this is your first year or your third decade of climbing -- we got you. We don't care what grade you climb, how structured your training program is, or even if you consider yourself a climber.
